Losing someone you love is hard, no matter how much time has passed. I want to share a quote from the great Winnie the Pooh. “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” You aren't alone in having hard days. You aren't alone in sometimes crying out of the blue.
If you notice a friend, family member, colleague, neighbor struggling after a loss, ask about their person. Invite them to tell a story about them. Sometimes the kindest thing we can give someone is the chance to remember.
