4 Tips to Tap Into the Hidden Job Market on LinkedIn

Advertising on job boards is expensive. A workaround that hiring managers and recruiters use is to post jobs on their own LinkedIn profiles or in a post.

How can you tap into this hidden market? In the search bar (upper left) of the LinkedIn home page, try searching for variations of: "I'm hiring" or "we're hiring" or "my team is hiring". Always put these in "quotes". 

Add the Job Title

Take it a step further and add the job title you're looking for into your search. For example, if you're looking for project manager roles, try searching for: "I'm hiring" "project manager"

Filter your Results

Then, refine your search to include only Posts.

Keep Filtering Down

Filter down further by selecting either "From my network" "Past 24 hours" or "Past week".
