Career Coaching

Many people hit a layoff or a pivot and don’t know where to start. I spent 14 years deciding who got the interview. Now I help you become the person they want to call.

Who it’s for: People laid off, thinking about a career pivot, returning to work after a break, burned out, or feeling that their identity is tied to a job title.

What we work on: Clarifying direction and target roles, your LinkedIn story, job search strategy, networking, interviewing, and self doubt, impostor feelings, and burnout.

What makes this different: My two lenses together, the recruiter’s view of how hiring really works and a coach’s attention to who you are when work changes.

I spent 14+ years building global talent acquisition programs at startups, high growth companies, and organizations going through acquisitions or preparing to go public. I have supported more than 18,000 candidates through job changes and pivots. I have also been on your side of it. I have moved across the country several times and lived through a layoff, and I know how uncertain that feels. When so much of who we are is tied to our work, losing a role can feel like losing yourself. Coaching is where we sort out both the strategy and the identity underneath it.

Why I coach on careers: I have been on both sides of a job change. I spent 14+ years in talent acquisition, and I have also lived through a layoff and the uncertainty that comes with it. I know how much of who we are can be tied to the work we do. Read more about my story.

Credentials: I have worked withover 18,000 candidates, was listed among the top career coaches in Minneapolis for 2026.

“I really appreciated her approach as a career coach when it came to helping me with my challenges. She asked a lot of really challenging and useful questions, and I especially appreciated her approach of considering my own values.”

“When I recently found myself in the position of being laid off I was at a slight loss as to how the new hiring landscape works. She not only has a vast wealth of knowledge in recruiting but also is great at understanding the human factor and how some of those often overlooked skills can be useful in giving recruiters and employers a more wholistic view of who you are. I would whole heartedly recommend her services and guidance.”

“I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with Madelon during a period of professional uncertainty. Our conversations have always left me feeling more clear-headed and hopeful.

Madelon creates a space that feels both completely safe and quietly powerful, where it’s possible to be honest, break down difficult situations, and think more freely. She is warm, curious, and incredibly patient, and she has a gentle but persistent way of asking questions that have helped me challenge limiting beliefs and explore new perspectives. Rather than imposing advice or opinions, she encourages you to do the work and arrive at your own clarity.

It’s clear this isn’t just her job; it’s her calling. If you’re looking for someone to help you navigate change, complexity, or the desire to live and work more intentionally, I can’t recommend Madelon highly enough!”
